Volunteers

Do You Have Any Spare Time? Are You Interested in Volunteering a Few Hours of Your Time to Work With Families?
Become a Home-Start Volunteer and Make A Difference to Someone's Life!

What Do Volunteers Do?

A volunteer will accept families as they are, they may chat to parents or play with the children. It is up to the families and volunteers to agree on how much time they spend together. Volunteers use their own experience or help families find specialist advice if necessary.

Volunteers offer friendship, support and practical help to families and their children

What Is Involved in Being A Home-Start Volunteer?

All volunteers must attend a preparation course, visit families in their own home, share parenting experiences, build up confidence, listen, talk, and most of all encourage the families that they work with.

If you would like to become a Home-Start Volunteer, please contact Ceri Williams or Emma Davies on 01685 382822 for an informal chat.
